Causes of Coronary Heart Disease

Coronary heart disease is caused by a buildup of fat in the blood vessel walls in the heart (coronary arteries), and this is gradually followed by various processes such as accumulation of connective tissue, calcification, blood clots that everything will narrow or clog the blood vessels. This will result in the area of heart muscle is deprived of blood flow and can lead to many serious consequences of angina pectoris (chest pain) to heart infarction, which is known in the community with a heart attack that can lead to sudden death.

This will narrow the arteries and blood termination occurs when severe. Once that happens the clumping of various substances in the blood that occur blocking blood flow and atherosclerosis. Clinical manifestations of coronary heart disease is: Without symptoms, angina pectoris, acute myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, heart Crummy, sudden death

There are two causes of Coronary Heart Disease processes, namely: atherosclerosis and thrombosis process.

a. The process of atherosclerosis
The formation of plaque in the arteries of the heart's blood vessels. Plaque consists of excessive cholesterol, calcium and other substances in the blood vessels which gradually accumulate in the walls of blood vessels of the heart (coronary arteries).
b. The process of thrombosis
Fat deposits in blood vessels not only contains fat, but also the scar tissue caused by the presence of cholesterol. This will form a fibrous cap (fibrous cap) over heaps tougher than the blood vessel wall itself. When there is pressure could result in damage to the blood vessels.
The result is a larger blood clots that can block blood vessels so that blood can not reach the heart muscle and lead to death in some heart muscle
